Our Philosophy
Funky Monkey swung into Diani in July of 2022, adding a new vibrant cocktail bar, restaurant and music venue to the Diani Beach scene.
Following the success of Funky’s sister site ‘The Salty Squid Beach Bar & Restaurant’, a beach front venue with excellent views matched by the quality of food, cocktails and service.
Funky Monkey came to life to offer locals and travelers alike a taste of international cuisine with fast, professional and friendly service in the heart of Diani Beach.

We’ve taken over bars internationally, Became the first Bar in the Kenyan coast to Snag a spot on the 50 Best Discovery list, had our Bartenders win world class titles hosted world-class bartenders right here in Diani, and brought back stories, techniques, and inspiration from every pour. Each collaboration adds a new twist to our craft , a fusion of Kenyan heart and global flair.
